SC Farm Report on Thursday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 315.00-320.00; 500-600 lbs 290.00-300.00. Feeder
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 275.00-315.00; 500-600 lbs none
reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 280.00-290.00,
500-600 lbs 240.00-257.50. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 127.00-
135.00; Boners 80-85% lean 120.00-140.00; High Dressing 144.00-146.00;
Lean 85-90% lean 110.00-130.00; Lean Low Dressing 97.50-108.00. Slaughter
bulls: Average Dressing 1210-1905 lbs 132.00-168.00; High Dressing none

Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 0.50 higher at 62.42. Sows
live price 300-450 lbs 63.31; 450-500 lbs 69.97; 500-550 lbs 69.97.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn was 15 to 16 cents higher; elevator bids
3.97-5.02, processor bids 5.02-5.07. Soybeans were 1 cent lower; elevator
bids 10.56-11.71, processor bids 12.36, and export 12.21. Wheat bids were
13 to 15 cents higher; elevator bids 5.20.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.61
higher at 89.13.
